BET Awards Pre-Show Party stabbing leaves 1 dead, 5 others injured in Los Angeles.
The mayhem included a deadly shooting at a restraunt in East Hollywood and a stabbing in the Hollywood area.
One person was killed at least five others injured when violence started at two BET Awards pre-show parties this weekend in Los Angeles.
In one incident, a man was shot to death and four others injured at an overnight party at Monalizza Restraunt and Banquet Hall in 1100 block of North Vermont Avenue, Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shoot occurred around 5:17 am on Sunday, when a gunman opened fired on a crowd partygoers, the LAPD said.
Three of the victims were rushed to a local hospital by ambulance including an adult male who died a short time later.
Video from the scene, aired on local TV station CBS Los Angeles, shows partygoers filing out of the restraunt as paramedics performed CPR on one of the victims.
In a seperate altercation, a man was stabbed at a BET Awards pre-show party on Saturday night at Lure nightclub in Hollywood.
The incident started around 9 p.m. at the night club. The victim was in his 30s and rushed to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
A security guard inside the club told CBS Los Angeles that rapper The Game was in attendance when the stabbing took place.
Both incidents are currently under investigations and no arrests have been made in either case.
The BET Awards are taking place on Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Chris Rock will host the upcoming award show tonight.
