MTV is going forward on a Scream TV series.
According to reports, MTV has greenlit its “Scream” TV series for a 10-episode first season set to premiere in 2015.
Jill Blotevogel from “Harper’s Island” and “Ravenswood” will executive produce the MTV Scream series. She previously revised the pilot script which was written by Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin from “Criminal Minds,” “The Event” and “Revenge”.

Willa Fitzgerald, Amy Forsyth, John Karna, Carlson Young and Amadeus Serafini starred on the pilot, which marks the first time Scream is being made into a TV series. Jamie Travis (“For a Good Time Call” and MTV’s “Faking It”) directed the MTV pilot.
The “Scream” franchise first started off in 1996 with the first movie directed by Wes Craven and starring Neve Campbell. The big-screen adaptations ended with “Scream 4” four years.
