Jennifer Lawrence is the highest paid actress in Hollywood.

Katniss Everdeen pulled in an incredible $46 million before taxes over the last 12 months, which makes her the highest paid actress in Hollywood for the second straight year.

Here’s the breakdown, according to Forbes Magazine:

  1. Jennifer Lawrence – $52 million
  2. Melissa McCarthy – $39 million
  3. Scarlett Johansson – $25 million
  4. Jennifer Aniston – $21 million
  5. Fan Bingbing – $17 million

Even though Lawrence is the highest paid actress in Hollywood, . In the essay, Lawrence not only takes issue with the uneven pay scale women in Hollywood deal with but also with the fact that standing up for her self is looked upon differently than a male co-star.

Not only is Lawrence the top-paid Hollywood actress on the Forbes list, she did so as the only one under 30. According to Forbes, their numbers are based on data compiled from Nielsen, Box Office Mojo, and IMDb, as well as interviews with agents, managers, and lawyers.

In case you did not know, Georgia currently offers a film tax credit of 30% on qualified feature films. Several major motion pictures that received the luxurious tax credit include The Hunger Games, and the upcoming Passengers movie; four movies that star Jennifer Lawrence. According to reports,  Jennifer Lawrence earned the top spot because she received an up-front fee for her role in the upcoming Passengers movie. Consequently, Jennifer Lawrence earns the majority of her millions of dollars for feature films she does in the Peach State.
