Confirming earlier reports, The Hollywood Reporter recently confirmed that DC and Warner Bros. had canceled Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 3. Moreover, Gunn and Safran are close to unveiling their multiyear plan for DC at Warner Bros. as a refined vision of the franchise under Discovery CEO David Zaslav’s guidance. Although this comprehensive scheme is still in flux, it will be an essential guide for how DC should continue its plans.
Reports have surfaced that Warner Bros. Pictures co-chairs and co-CEOs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy informed director Patty Jenkins she was no longer a part of their new plans for Wonder Woman 3. Gal Gadot would have earned approximately $20 million, while Jenkins’ salary was estimated at $12 million. The recent news of Wonder Woman has raised questions about the future of Zack Snyder’s vision for DC, also known as the Snyderverse. The Justice League is disbanded, resulting in uncertainty for Henry Cavill and Man of Steel 2. Jason Momoa may no longer lead Aquaman, either.
Although no official plans have been announced, James Gunn has asked fans to remain patient on Twitter. He understands that it will be impossible to please everyone and encourages people not to give up hope. See his tweets below for more information!
So. As for the story yesterday in the Hollywood Reporter, some of it is true, some of it is half-true, some of it is not true, & some of it we haven’t decided yet whether it’s true or not.
