  • Coleen (Lead): A dedicated professional counselor, wife, mother, and cherished friend, Coleen brings wisdom and a sharp sense of humor to the story. Her devotion to family and faith is truly inspiring.
  • Ian (Lead): A pillar of the community, Ian is a man of faith, a devoted husband and father, and the keeper of the Lighthouse. His strength and unwavering belief will touch hearts far and wide.
  • Kurt (Lead): This kind-hearted young boy, victimized by bullying, exemplifies the resilience and hope that can be found even in the most challenging circumstances.
  • Tommy (Lead): Intelligent, confident, and sports-loving, Tommy is the son of Ian and Coleen. His character embodies the spirit of determination and camaraderie.

We’re also on the lookout for young talents to bring life to these crucial supporting roles:

  • Eddie: A follower who learns important lessons about individuality and standing up for what’s right.
  • Keith: A spirited jock, Keith’s journey reminds us that true strength comes from within.

All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States. While previous acting experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ability to work collaboratively and professionally is essential.

Faith-Based Christmas Theme Feature Film

Job Detail: Open call for various roles in a non-union passion project produced by Fisher Films. The film is a heartwarming Christmas-themed story written and directed by Durham Harrison. It will be shot in Newberry, South Carolina, with one additional day of shooting in Beaufort, SC. The shoot dates are from November 19th to December 10th, 2023.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage in rehearsals and workshops as required by the director.
  • Bring the characters to life and portray them convincingly by the script.
  • Collaborate with the director, cast, and crew to create a cohesive and engaging narrative.

Principal Roles:

  1. BREE (LEAD)
    • Description: Caucasian Female, 20s-30s. Intelligent, sensitive, and has experienced heartbreak.
  2. COLEEN (LEAD)
    • Description: African American Female, 30s-40s. Professional counselor, devoted wife, mother, and friend. A sharp sense of humor. Married to IAN.
  3. IAN (LEAD)
    • Description: African American Man, 30s-40s. He was a respected community leader, devoted husband, and father. Man of faith. Keeper of the Lighthouse. Married to COLEEN.
  4. KURT (LEAD)
    • Description: Boy, 11-12. Kind-hearted, sensitive, loves family and video games. Victim of bullying.
  5. TOMMY (LEAD)
    • Description: African American Boy, 11-12. Loves sports and video games, intelligent and confident. Son of IAN and COLEEN.

Supporting Roles:

  1. EDDIE
    • Description: Any Ethnicity, Boy, 11-12. A follower goes along with the crowd, which may get him into trouble sometimes.
  2. KEITH
    • Description: Boy, 11-12. He wants his friends to think he’s more challenging than he is—a Jock.
  3. OLIVIA
    • Description: Girl, 11-12. Curious, sporty, does not feel comfortable around bullying.
  4. RICHARD
    • Description: Boy, 11-13. The Ring Leader is intimidating for his age, strong-willed, move or be moved attitude.
  5. WANDA
    • Description: Caucasian Woman in her 30s-40s. “Never met a stranger”. Wife to MAYOR JAMES. Mother to KURT, Older sister to BREE. Long-time friends with IAN and COLEEN.

Requirements:

  • All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Previous acting experience is preferred but optional.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and professional environment.

Compensation:

  • This is a non-union passion project, and compensation will be based on the role and experience of the actor.
  • Travel, accommodation, and meals will be provided during the shoot.
