‘COPS’ TV Show Canceled After 33 Seasons

COPS‘ reality TV show is now canceled after 33 seasons.

Network confirms they will cancel their long-running reality ‘COPS'. The show was headed into its 33rd season with a premiere date on June 15. Following the killing of George Floyd at the hands of police officers, the dark side of law enforcement is being broadcast worldwide.

A rep from Paramount Network added, Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don't have any current or future plans for it to return.”

The show features a camera crew following officers as they prevent crime and settle domestic disputes during their patrol shift. Each episode unintentionally glorifies police officers as they are seen testing each situation calmly, and without a voice – a far cry from the recent real-life events that have left many murdered, , or traumatized.
