Tyler Perry’s Sistas spinoff, ZATIMA, is now casting and filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Tyler Perry Studios is ramping up production following the success of Tyler Perry’s Sistas. Fans were pulling for DeVale Ellis‘ Zac and Crystal Hayslett‘s Fatima to get together and it wasn’t until the third season’s midseason finale that Zac confessed and “Zatima” was born. Their popularity on the show made the duo fan-favorites and it looks like Tyler Perry wants to capitalize on their popularity and explore their relationship a little bit more.

About Tyler Perry’s Zatima:
Tyler Perry will return as director and writer for the series, which is currently in production in Atlanta, Georgia. It is perfect timing as Sistas recently got renewed for a fourth season. The new series is currently going to run for ten episodes with BET+ and Tyler Perry Studios. Perry has worked on several TV series for BET including House of Payne, Young Dylan, The Oval, and many more.
It is amazing to see how Tyler Perry’s transition from the OWN network to BET has built multiple franchises and programs. Sistas started in 2019, which is the same year The Oval. Tyler Perry also has several other TV shows including House of Payne, Young Dylan, and The Oval.

The series is executive produced, directed, and written by Tyler Perry. The program will be shown later this year on BET+. This will be the second Tyler Perry spinoff to air on BET.

Meet the cast of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Spin-Off, a spinoff of Zatima.
The main cast of Zatima is made up of Zac, Fatima, Nathan, Angela, Anthony, Belinda, Deja, and Gretchen. Kelly (guest star), Jeremiah (guest star), Valerie (guest star), Jerome (guest star), Diamond (guest star) , Lori (extra guest role) , Gigi (extra guest role) , Margaret. Meanwhile, it’s unclear whether Karen and Hayden will join the Sistas spin-off cast as ex-spouses.
Zac
Zac is a former criminal dating Fatima and wants to take their relationship to the next level by living together. He has a kid with Karen as well. One of the major characters in Zac will be Devale Ellis, who will play him.
The former NFL player is known for being a devoted family man and the father of four. The married man explained why he thinks the show is getting so much attention. He stated that he voiced with his new series, “‘Zatima’ represents the dream of finding love in the most awkward places.”
Fatima
Fatima is a bad girl, according to Sista. Renee Hayslett acts as Fatima in the series and works as Andi’s assistant at a legal firm. When Zac was still trying to establish himself, she met him and has since remained his lover. In this series, Zac and Fatima will take us on a trip through the ups and downs of two romantics attempting to keep their blossoming relationship alive.
“I couldn’t think of a better person to be on this journey with! Your respect, honor, patience, and inspiration are rare in this industry,” Crystal thanked Devale Ellis on Instagram. She also explained how the Zac and Fatima series came to be and the idea’s conception while filming Sistas.
Nathan
He is a basketball teammate of Zac. Even though they are married and have children together, Carolyn treats Nathan like a puppy on a short leash. Nathan needs to jump whenever Carolyn tells him to go home because the kids drive her nuts. Their relationship meets a rocky phase as he ultimately cheats on her with a stripper.
Angela
Jake is dating Angela, Fatima’s closest female friend. She is in her thirties and has no idea that the person moving in with Fatima is Zac, Jake’s buddy. Maressa comes to meet Zac after speaking with Fatima and learning the particulars of their relationship. Jake informs her that he has revealed everything he knows about Zac’s darker nature to Fatima.
Tony
He is one of Zac’s basketball buddies as well. Tony differs from his pals in that he has a poor view of marriage and believes “love” to be another stumbling block to a guy having the rich, satisfying sex life he desires. When Zac announces his engagement to Fatima, he is unhappy about it.
Belinda
Belinda is unaware that Zac, Fatima’s new lover, is one of her former boyfriends. Because of this event, she learns about it when Fatima asks her and Angela to come over to meet him (and give their consent). Belinda’s demeanor changes rapidly when she discovers that Zac is one of her past relationships.
Gretchen
In the book, she’s a hardworking government employee who works as a Securities and Exchange Commission inspector. She is straightforward and will not tolerate any nonsense. In an interview, she is strict and unyielding, even towards Jack.
Deja
By night, Deja is a high-end stripper and a nail technician by day. She quickly decides to take Zac’s duplex on hire since she likes it so much. Consequently, she gives him all of her credit information and offers to write any checks he requires. She is ecstatic that “such a powerful man” will be next door, implying future conflict as Deja is single. Is it possible that she finds her new neighbor attractive?
