Based on the trailer, Earn (Donald Glover), Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Vanessa (Zazie Beetz) are journeying throughout Europe. Along the way, they stumble upon a multitude of new characters while struggling to acquaint themselves with the local vernacular. In true Atlanta fashion, the trailer also showcases a few chaotic scenes, including a man who is carrying a Pope costume pushing a bike down a street and a stray peacock hanging out inside a lounge.
Almost four-year hiatus, the Emmy- conquering comedy-drama series is slated to replace with a two-episode premiere on March 24, which will become available to stream on Hulu the following day.
In the statement of FX Chairman John Landgraf, “The new season is everything you’ve come to expect from Atlanta, which is to say, expect the unexpected.”
Landgraf announced last month that Atlanta would end with its fourth and final season, which is scheduled to premiere this fall.
In the recent interview, Glover says on the show’s conclusion, stating that he believes “it ends perfectly” and that “death is natural.”
“I feel like when the conditions are right for something, they happen, and when the conditions aren’t right, they don’t happen,” he added. “I don’t feel any longevity.”
