Hi there! My name is Bria Simone. I am a 181.5 cm model with skin imperfections or what I like to call uniqueness. My goal and vision with modeling is not to simply showcase myself; but to educate, encourage and uplift those who are equally as unique as me. I grew 7” in a school year (6th grade), thus resulting in my beautiful treasure map of stretch marks. To an adolescent girl, stretch marks were looked at as “mommy things.” Usually deemed undesirable unless located on buttocks, hips and thighs to indicate being bottom heavy and/or “thick.” I have also dealt with insulin resistance since age 6, resulting in irreversible signs of pre-diabetes. Darkened neck, nose and elbows… just to name a few. I got heavily bullied for not being smooth in complexion and covered in stretch marks while attending middle school. I look to bring awareness of the many signs and symptoms pertaining to insulin resistance & pre-diabetes. While encouraging young girls & women that it is ok to embrace their stretch marks no matter the location on ones body. We are all beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They say you have to be the change you want to see. That is exactly what I plan to do. The beauty industry is changing, I would be honored to add to the changes for the better.
