Harrison Ford has confirmed that he will no longer be playing the character of Indiana Jones after the release of the movie “Dial of Destiny.”
Harrison Ford confirmed in a recent Total Film interview that he would be portraying the character of Indiana Jones for the final time in the upcoming movie “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.” Ford anticipates that Indiana Jones will not be recast in future films for a while after he leaves the franchise. Ford, currently 80 years old, has portrayed the archaeology professor five times in 42 years.
“This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character,” said Ford. “I anticipate it will be the last time he appears in a film.”
Although there are rumors of an Indiana Jones TV series, Ford has confirmed that he will not be a part of it. Some people expect that Dial of Destiny will create a setting for a spin-off starring Jones’ goddaughter, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, as the main character.
The movie “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” will be released in theaters on June 30. You can watch the official trailer below.
