Idris Elba Saves the Day in Apple TV+’s ‘Hijack’ Series: Trailer and Release Date Revealed

Set to premiere on June 28; the seven-episode show will captivate audiences with its gripping storyline. To build excitement, Apple TV+ will release two episodes on the debut date, followed by weekly releases until the heart-pounding finale on August 2, 2023.
Hijack revolves around the charismatic Idris Elba, who portrays Sam Nelson, a resourceful businessman. In this nail-biting series, Nelson takes on the challenge of negotiating the escape of a hijacked plane en route to London. With the fate of his fellow passengers hanging in the balance during the seven-hour flight, Elba’s character must act swiftly while authorities on the ground race against time to unravel the unfolding mystery. Onboard the plane, a group of gunmen seizes control and manipulates the flight’s path. Their demands force passengers to sacrifice their freedom while secretly collaborating to ensure a safe return home.
Joining Idris Elba in this high-stakes drama is a talented ensemble cast, including Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimee Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel, and Ben Miles.
