Mark Ruffalo to Star in New Law Enforcement Task Force Drama at HBO
Marvel star Mark Ruffalo is expanding his horizons, looking to star in a new HBO drama.
The project is untitled by the creator of Mare of Easttown, Brad Ingelsby. The premium cable outlet has ordered a limited series on the new drama, which is set to be about a law enforcement task force and the criminals they apprehend. Ruffalo is also slated to be an executive producer on the show. The new show will mark a return for Ruffalo and Ingelsby at HBO. In 2020, Ruffalo won an Emmy for his role in the limited series I Know This Much Is True. Mare of Easttown has won four Emmys and has earned Ingelsby a nod for his writing.
The series was in place well before the writer’s strike, and casting decisions were also made beforehand. While there is no definitive start date for production yet, it is said to be in progress. Francesca Orsi, Head of HBO drama series and film, said, “We are thrilled to once again join forces with Brad Ingelsby, the brilliant auteur behind Mare of Easttown. Brad’s boundless creativity and unrivaled ability to captivate audiences is nothing short of inspiring, and we could not be more excited to embark on another journey together.”
