Netflix’s ‘Maestro’ Starring Bradley Cooper Trailer

Date:

In the upcoming Netflix film “Maestro,” the remarkable conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein is brought to life by Bradley Cooper.

At the same time, Carey Mulligan takes on the role of actress and activist Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. The film’s first trailer has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into this captivating narrative.

Directed and co-written by Bradley Cooper, “Maestro” is set to debut in select theaters on November 22, followed by its release on the streaming platform on December 20. The ensemble cast includes esteemed names such as Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, Sarah Silverman, Michael Urie, Josh Hamilton, Scott Ellis, Gideon Glick, Sam Nivola, Alexa Swinton, and Miriam Shor. Notably, the film boasts Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg as producers, further enhancing its pedigree.

The trailer provides an enchanting introduction to the youthful years of the married couple. We witness them engaged in a playful game, seated back-to-back, as Bernstein (played by Bradley Cooper) endeavors to guess the number chosen by Montealegre Cohn Bernstein (portrayed by Carey Mulligan). Amidst a series of humorous guesses, Bernstein queries, “How long must we continue this?” prompting a light-hearted response from Montealegre Cohn Bernstein, who jests, “A strong connection requires some effort.”

As the trailer unfolds, we catch glimpses of the various phases of their shared life journey. The footage concludes with the same game being played again, but the characters are much older this time. Bernstein, renowned for his compositions in “West Side Story” and the score for “On the Waterfront,” is now the one selecting the number.

Bradley Cooper takes the directorial helm of “Maestro,” co-authoring the script alongside Josh Singer. The film’s lineup of executive producers includes Singer, Carla Raij, Bobby Wilhelm, Weston Middleton, and Tracey Landon. The production team is an illustrious one, featuring the talents of Scorsese, Cooper, Spielberg, Fred Berner, Amy Durning, and Kristie Macosko Krieger.

Anticipation is building as “Maestro” is set to premiere on September 2, competing at the esteemed 2023 Venice International Film Festival. This compelling portrayal of Leonard Bernstein’s life and his impactful relationship with Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein is poised to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression.
