Janine McGrath

Janine McGrath is a Melbourne-based actor, born in a small Victorian country town, but raised inner-city. Too tall for her ballerina dreams, Janine immersed herself in teaching and choreography. She enjoyed a short spurt as a school teacher and a long career in the dance world before her attraction to acting. Janine's had significant roles in a horror feature, numerous short films, TVC's, training videos and play readings. Her training is ongoing, and has included courses with Howard Fine Studios, NIDA, Greg Apps' TAT and multiple workshops and seminars. Janine was awarded Best Actress for her reading of Nell in Gerard Lewis Fitzgerald's hilarious play 'Portrait of a Rebel Heart', as part of the Cracked Actors Theatre (CAT) 'Summer Readings 2023'. She was nominated the previous two years for Best Supporting Actress (2022) & Best Actress (2021).
