Grimm is a police fantasy TV drama series. Grimm first debuted on NBC in 2011 and the series follows Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt of the Portland Police Bureau. Nick later learns he is descended from a line of “guardians” known as Grimms that are in charge of keeping the balance between humanity and mythological creatures known as “Wesen” Throughout each episode he must fight against a number of dangerous creatures. Luckily he has the help from his friend Monroe, and detective partner Hank Griffin.
Many of the episodes are loosely based on stories written by the Brothers Grimm, and other fables, legends. A press release by NBC in 2011 stated that Grimm was averaging about 6.4 million U.S viewers for the first season, and was recently renewed for a second season.
Grimm features David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, and Bree Turner. Grimm is produced by Norberto Barba, Jim Kouf, David Greenwalt, Sean Hayes, and Todd Miliner in association with Universal Television, GK Productions, Hazy Mills Productions, and Open 4 Business Productions
