In 2013 The X Factor will be back and one act’s musical dreams will come true. The #1 rating show does one thing – turn everyday people into worldwide megastars. One Direction, Leona Lewis and Reece Mastin have all had their lives transformed … you could be next.

The search begins NOW for Australia’s next singing superstar or supergroup. If you believe you have a special talent for singing and performing and want to become Australia’s next chart-topping recording artist then simply turn up at one of the below venues on the specified dates to audition.

Auditions are open for anyone 14 years or older who fall into one of the following four categories: Under 25 Male, Under 25 Female, 25 and Over, and Vocal Groups.

You don’t need to register beforehand, just get yourself to the venue and show us what you’ve got. If you are successful, you’ll proceed to the next stage of the competition and could be well on your way to becoming Australia’s next superstar.

TO QUALIFY FOR AN AUDITION:

• You must be 14 years of age or over on April 1st 2013.
• IF YOU ARE UNDER 16 YOU MUST BRING A PARENT / GUARDIAN WITH YOU TO THE AUDITION.
• You must bring identification to prove your age (drivers licence / birth certificate / passport / Proof of Age Card. Etc. Student cards are not acceptable).
• You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• You must be available to attend a second audition if you are successful in the first round.
• You can register only once per day.
• You can audition in one of the following categories:
MALE – 14 or over and under 25
FEMALE – 14 or over and under 25
MALE OR FEMALE – 25 or over
VOCAL GROUPS – 14 or over
• You must not have a recording deal, a publishing contract, or agent representation agreement that you are unable to terminate without restrictions/obligations. You are permitted to have a manager, but must provide details of your manager and a copy of your management contract for approval.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
• You will be asked to sing a verse and chorus from a song of your choice. You may also be asked to sing a second, third or fourth song – so be prepared!
• You will need to sing a cappella for this audition. There will be no backing track used in your auditions.
• If you are successful at your first audition you will need to have a song approved to perform later in front of the Television judges. Please bring with you a list of FOUR SONGS in order of preference, be sure to include track name and artist.
• Dress to impress, you may only get one chance to perform, so if you can sing and dance, show us why you have the X Factor!
• Bring a friend or parent if you need moral support – and you MUST bring a friend or guardian if you are under 18.
• Bring your own light refreshments/snacks as it could be a long day.

PLEASE BE PREPARED – HAVE YOUR APPLICATION, IDENTIFICATION, SONG CHOICES AND PERSONALITY READY! You are NOT required for all 3 audition days. You will be registered and auditioned on the same day.
