Megan Hayes received her BFA in Acting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is currently filming Catching Fire of the Hunger Games Trilogy as the District 6 Tribute. Her other films include Plus One (post-production), What to Expect When you’re expecting, Upside.
Television credits include Georgia Lottery’s Extreme Green Commercial, Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns, BET’s The Game and HBO’s Eastbound & Down. Theatre credits include: Tree, The Santaland Diaries, Charm Schooland The Perfect Prayer (Horizon Theatre); A Sleeping Country (Essential Theatre); Boeing, Boeing and Noises Off! (Aurora Theatre); The Miracle Worker (Alliance Theatre). Megan was recently accepted into the Graduate Film School program at Columbia University.

This introductory Teen Film Acting class is designed for beginning actors to learn on-camera improvisation & audition skills while covering the nuts and bolts of character work for film. While trained in the essential principles of acting, young talent is encouraged to allow their imaginations flourish in this nurturing environment. Using a process developed from multiple acting techniques, students learn how to create characters, personalize scenes and make strong audition choices for film.
