Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit Trilogy Casting Call Information

Filming for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: There and Back Again is getting ramped up.

The cast and crew of The Hobbit films, are back in New Zealand to film pickups for the next two movies in the trilogy – The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: There and Back Again.

Peter Jackson recently posted the following message on Facebook yesterday:

Back on set for our last Hobbit pick ups. Our last ever Tolkien pick ups, in fact. It’s going to be an intense few weeks, but we’re looking forward to shooting some powerful scenes with our great cast.

According to TheOneRing.net, Jackson is currently filming in Wellington and most of that work will be for the Battle of Five Armies. There have also been casting calls for extras available between May and August.
