Recently, Miami Talent Casting posted a casting call looking for fit women to work an in fashion designers catalogue.
The Fashion designer focuses his work on prom dresses and he is looking for brunette, long hair Caucasians or Hispanic women for an upcoming photo shoot.
Shailynn Krow, a writer for Chron magazine described the differences between Fashion modeling and Commercial/Print modeling. She pointed out a variety of differences between fashion models and Commercial models. Fashion models are often more popular and recognized more so by the public. Typically, fashion models work out of New York, and engage in jobs abroad in major fashion industries such as Tokyo, Paris, or even London.
However, Commercial models typically do national or local print ads. Despite being a highly paid modeling contracts (at most times), fashion models tend to sign more lucrative contracts. Krow later points out that, commercial models typically work in the industry temporarily while waiting for editorial contracts. Commercial modeling jobs are booked through modeling agencies.
