Producers release first casting call information for the upcoming Star Wars Episode 7. They are looking for actors to fit three roles.
Get ready to whip out your light saber.
The first casting news about the next Star Wars movie has leaked—and it’s, well, that they’re casting the movie.
While no one’s been hired yet, Star Wars fans can read the character descriptions and salivate about possible plots:
“A young man aged between 20 and 25, witty and smart, fit but not classically handsome. Late teenage girl, independent, good sense of humour, also … physically fit. Finally, a guy aged around seventy, strong opinions and tough.”
Unfortunately (or fortunately), George Lucas hasn’t spoken to J.J. Abrams yet about the new flick. Abrams has been busy with Star Trek.
Recently, Metro reported that certain actors were ordered to lose weight for the upcoming feature film. It appears that Star Wars veterans Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will be appearing in the saga’s seventh instalment, following reports they have been told to lose weight before filming begins. The pair, who played Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia in the first three films, will be assigned nutrionists and personal trainers to work with ahead of production, which is due to begin later this year.
Reports have suggested that producers are keen for Hamill, now 61, and Fisher, 56, to shed the pounds in order to closely resemble the original incarnations of their characters.
‘Mark and Carrie need to be as close to their appearance in the earlier movies as possible,’ a source told The Sun.
‘Producers are keen to help out and have offered support. The budget is huge so there will be no expense spared.’
We will continue to provide you with more casting news for this upcoming project.
