Columbia University Open Casting Call for Actors to Work on Student Film Projects in New York City

medium_4131415154Columbia University MFA Theater Directors are looking for performers to work on a variety of student projects. Come in and meet with us if you are interested and available to work on projects in 2013/14

What to prepare: Please present a one minute monologue of your choice (classical or contemporary) and an additional one minute of any material you’d like to show us (dance, music, comedy, other special skills or a contrasting monologue). You have two minutes to show us what you’re about as a performer!

When: Wed Sept 4th, 6:30 – 10:30pm

Thurs Sept 5th 6:30 – 10:30pm

Where: Columbia University

Shapiro Hall, Studio

605 West 115th St

To Register: To keep the process paper-free, please email your headshot and resume to columbiadirectors16@gmail.com in advance of the audition. You may audition on either of the dates listed above. Performers should arrive no later than 9:30pm and will be seen on a first-come first-served basis.

More information: We are primarily seeking actors for text-based projects but are also interested in performers with a range of skill sets. This is not a casting for a specific project but an opportunity for us to gauge interest and abilities. All projects will be volunteer projects with 1-2 week rehearsal periods, presented in class at Columbia University for students and course professors Brian Kulick (Classic Stage Company) and Anne Bogart (SITI Company).
