Casting directors for ‘SpongeBob Squarepants 2’ are seeking a cotton candy vendor and asking for no beards?
According to a latest casting call, producers are asking for the background talents not to possess a beard in order for the main character to stand out!
What will this mean? Who could be the villain in the upcoming Spongebob Squarepants feature film?
We are not sure. But, we are looking forward to seeing a live action cartoon film. It will be very interesting to see how this will all pan out.

SpongeBob SquarePants 2: We’ve booked a few of you, but are asking the rest of you to please be patient. I’m getting many emails from folks feeling like they’ve missed their opportunity because you did not receive an email yet.
We will be booking THROUGHOUT Sept/October.
We honestly can’t book very many of you right now because our number of extras needed are changing as we go through the production meetings and tweak the show’s needs.
So we really don’t even know yet how many of each group we’ll need.
NOTES FROM TODAY’S MEETINGS: NO BEARDS! Sorry guys, but our bad guy has a beard and we really need for him to stand out, so…. if you’ve been booked, and you have a beard, you’ll need to trim it up substantially and even be willing to have it shaved on set if deemed necessary. I’m sorry. I love beards and feel bad for all my bearded friends.
Also we need a REAL COTTON CANDY VENDOR.
