Casting directors for The History Channel are holding an open casting call for an upcoming mini-series this Saturday in West Virginia.

Be a part of history! We encourage everyone interested in paid background work on the History Channel Mini-Series to participate in our EXTRAS Open Call on Saturday, September 28th, in Harpers Ferry, WV, from noon to 4pm. The project spans the two World Wars and so we need background artists to be on battlefields, in political meetings, and in crowd scenes.
THE WARS mini-series is shooting from Monday, October 14th to Friday, November 1st.

Background Rate: $126 per day flat
This is a non-union project.
Seeking background characters who can look authentically as if they are from the period between 1907 and 1949.
All are welcome, and the following are especially encouraged to attend:
Japanese men, women and children.
Caucasian men between 18 to 45 years old who are willing and eager to portray soldiers in the trenches of World War I for long days and nights of wet and muddy conditions. Outdoor skills, military and firearms training, and stage combat experience are all a plus.
World War I and World War II re-enactors.
Males of all ethnicities with fit to average builds between 18 and 60 years old.
Caucasian men with the ability to speak in an authentic German, Russian, or British accent (please be prepared to demonstrate this for us at the Open Call if asked).
General Notes:
BACKGROUND PLAYERS NEED TO HAVE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION AND LODGING. Availability for any shooting date must be for any hours of that date (both day and night) to be considered fully available for that day. Those who have already auditioned for the History Channel Mini-Series for Arvold Casting and indicated a willingness to be an extra on their information sheet at that time need not attend the Open Call.
