‘Terminator’ TV Series In Development With ‘X-Men’ Writers Executive Producing

‘Terminator’ TV Series is currently in development with the writers of ‘X-Men’ working as Executive Producers  on the new series.

The “Terminator” is coming back to television with “X-Men: First Class” writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz attached as the series showrunners, the studios producing the 2015 film reboot announced Friday.

David Ellison’s Skydance Productions and Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures said Stentz and Miller have been hired to write and executive produce the series, which will be released in conjunction with the movie reboot.

There are not many details on the project’s story lines. The plot for the series is essentially a secret, but according to reports, it will follow a critical moment from the 1984 Terminator film and spin the story in a completely different direction and story line. The new rebooted film trilogy and TV series promise to have an intersecting story line similar to ABC’s new series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This will not be the first Terminator TV series. “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” ran for a single season on FOX in 2008.

The television series will be produced by Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross of Skydance. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, who are writing the first in the new “Terminator” film trilogy, will serve as executive producers.
