Seth MacFarlane of “Family Guy” Explains Why He Killed Brian

Date:

Many people were extremely upset at the death of their beloved animated man’s best friend, Brian Griffin.

The (temporary) death of “Family Guy” pet, Brian, recently caused a serious uproar all over the internet causing many fans to become furious that MacFarlane would simply kill of a beloved character and replace him with another dog.

Recently, Seth MacFarlane spoke with Entertainment Weekly that he never expected his fanbase to become so upset.

“We were all very surprised, in a good way, that people still cared enough about that character to be that angry. We thought it would create a little bit of a stir, but the rage wasn’t something we counted on.”

He went on to say that the point of killing off Brian was to remind people that despite the show is entering it’s 12th season, anything can happen.

That is not a lie. He also made sure to say that he will not kill of Brian again in the future.
