Producers and casting directors for the FX television pilot “Hoke” are now seeking actors to work on the series in Miami.

Marinella Hume Casting is currently looking for extras and actors to work on the pilot starring Paul Giamatti and Oona Chaplin.

According to Deadline, FX’s new series “Hoke” is a dark comedic drama based on the Charles Willeford series of novels.

HOKE – Need an tough looking African American Man, 18-50, however, MUST have a few inches of hair growth (afro, etc). No short hair, fades, etc. Nobody with a XXL sizes please.

“Hoke” is written by Scott Frank, who is expected to director and showrun the pilot. The new TV pilot will center on a story of a mid life crisis and murder that features a hardboiled and possibly insane homicide detective Hoke Moseley set in Miami in the 1980s
