During last night’s Oscars, the Academy paid tribute to notable Hollywood figures who passed away during the year. But, one name stood out amongst the rest, Sarah Jones.
Last night the Academy Awards acknowledged the death of second camera assistant Sarah Jones, who died in a train accident on the set of Midnight Rider less than two weeks ago.

After Bette Midler’s performance of “The Wind Beneath My Wings” a graphic memorializing Jones flashed on screen. Jones was also included in the Oscars In Memoriam gallery online.
But, the academy was not the only ones that paid tribute to Sarah Jones. Several actors pinned black ribbons in memory of Sarah Jones.
