Cheech and Chong are teaming up with the creators of “Super Troopers” for a new Cheech and Chong Movie.
Cheech and CHong have reportedly been meeting with Super Troopers director Jay Chandrasekhar about directing a new Cheech and Chong movie.
In an interview, Tommy Chong revealed that he and Cheech Marin are teaming up with the director.
“He’s working a script right now for us,” Chong tells celebstoner.com. “We’ve had some preliminary meetings. It looks really good. It looks really funny. It will be about us going to a festival called the Burning Joint. All sorts of shenanigans happen. It’s going to be a lot of fun.” [THR]
This would be the first official Cheech and Chong Movie in nearly 31 years. Drug centered comedies have changed a lot after Chong’s old cellmate Jordan Belfort inspired a movie that full of quaaludes and snorting coke out of hooker’s butts, but hopefully people are still interested. But, that should not be too hard since, Colorado legalized recreational use of marijuana.
