Summer is finally here and if you are anything like me you have watched nearly all of the 65 new movies and tv shows that were added last month. So, you are probably in desperate need of something new to watch. But, you are in luck. The start of every month means new movies and TV shows on Netflix. Want to skip the hour of looking for something new to watch, check out the 19 new movies and TV shows coming to Netflix in August.

What’s arriving Aug 1st:
Cleopatra (1963) –Historical epic. The triumphs and tragedy of the Egyptian queen, Cleopatra.

Brian’s Song (1971)- Based on the real-life relationship between teammates Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers and the bond established when Piccolo discovers that he is dying.

Chinatown (1974)- A private detective hired to expose an adulterer finds himself caught up in a web of deceit, corruption and murder.

Blink (1994)- Emma is an attractive girl in her 20s who has been blind for 20 years. A new type of eye operation partially restores her sight, but she is having problems: sometimes she doesn’t “remember” what she’s seen until later. One night she is awakened by a commotion upstairs. Peering out of her door, she sees a shadowy figure descending the stairs. Convinced that her neighbour has been murdered she approaches the police, only to find that she is unsure if it was just her new eyes playing tricks on her.

Blown Away (1994) – An Irish bomber escapes from prison and targets a member of the Boston bomb squad.

Best Laid Plans (1999) – A seemingly simple plan to steal money goes increasingly awry.

Boys And Girls (2000) – A friendship is put to the ultimate test when two best friends wind up in bed together.

Bounce (2000)- A man switches plane tickets with another man who dies in that plane in a crash. The man falls in love with the deceased one’s wife.

Chocolat (2000)- A woman and her daughter open a chocolate shop in a small French village that shakes up the rigid morality of the community.

Down To You (2000)- A young man wins and loses the first serious love of his life.

Corky Romano (2001) – The loser son of a Mafia honcho must go undercover for the FBI.

Buffalo Soldiers (2001)– A criminal subculture operates among U.S. soldiers stationed in West Germany just before the fall of the Berlin wall.

Blue Car (2002)-A troubled young woman is encouraged by a teacher to enter a poetry contest.

Cypher (2002)- An unsuspecting, disenchanted man finds himself working as a spy in the dangerous, high-stakes world of corporate espionage. Quickly getting way over-his-head, he teams up with a mysterious femme fatale.

Deep Blue (2003)- The natural history of the oceans

Elizabethtown (2005)- During an outrageous memorial for a Southern patriarch, an unexpected romance blooms between a young woman and man.

Becoming Jane (2007)- A biographical portrait of a pre-fame Jane Austen and her romance with a young Irishman.
Caveman (2013)-“Cavemen” is a comedy centering around a group of unemployed guys living in a warehouse in Los Angeles Art District.

The Killing: Season 4 (2014)-A police investigation, the saga of a grieving family, and a Seattle mayoral campaign all interlock after the body of 17-year-old Rosie Larsen is found in the trunk of a submerged car.
