HBO’s ‘Show Me a Hero‘ is holding an open casting call in New York.
According to OLV, HBO’s Show Me a Hero, which will begin filming in Yonkers in October, is also looking for extras to play working and middle class types of all ethnicities.
Show Me A Hero is a six-hour show based on Lisa Belkin’s nonfiction book. According to IMDb, HBO’s ‘Show Me a Hero‘ centers on Mayor Nick Wasicsko. Wasicsko took office in 1987 during Yonkers’ worst crisis when federal courts ordered public housing built in the white, middle class side of town, dividing the city in a bitter battle fueled by fear, racism, murder and politics.
HBO’s ‘Show Me a Hero‘ is created by The Wire‘s David Simon, it stars Winona Ryder, on Bernthal and Alfred Molina.
An open casting call for HBO’s ‘Show Me a Hero‘ will be held on August 26 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at Manhattanville College, 2900 Purchase St, Purchase, NY.
