Richard Linklater reveals details surrounding ‘Dazed and Confused’ sequel, “That’s What I’m Talking About”.
Casting for ‘Dazed and Confused’ sequel is reportedly ramping up.
Richard Linklater has been developing a sequel to 1993’s “Dazed And Confused” for several years now. But, according to reports, his followup to the coming-of-age hit movie, “That’s What I’m Talking About” is ramping up production.
“That’s What I’m Talking About” centers on a new group of kids in a slightly different era. instead of focusing on the end of an era. The movie will center on the start of something new, with the story about college freshman who are trying to make the baseball team.
According to Deadline, Linklater has reportedly reached out to Blake Jenner ( Ryder Lynn on “Glee”), Tyler Hoechlin (“Teen Wolf”), Wyatt Russell (“22 Jump Street”). There are not that many other details, but if scheduling works out, these may be the leading cast of the sequel. However, opportunities should still become available if one of these actors back out.
Richard Linklater was the writer and director of “Dazed and Confused.” He recently released, Boyhood a movie that took 12 years to make and centers around the life of a young man, Mason, from age 5 to age 18.
