Austin, Texas Casting Call – ‘Dazed and Confused’ director now filming new movie and seeking extras in Austin, Texas.

The director of ‘Dazed and Confused‘ is ramping up production for his new feature film and casting directors are now casting extras to appear in the movie.

The Untitled Richard Linklater Project, is rumored to be the sequel to ‘Dazed and Confused’. According to The Hollywood Reporter, no longer working on the remake of The Incredible Mr. Limpet. Instead, the director will be filming he is working on a movie similar to ‘Dazed and Confused’.

…a movie about college freshmen called That’s What I’m Talking About, which is supposed to be semi-autobiographical and in the same tone as Dazed and Confused. [Slackerwood]

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Richard Linklater will write, direct and produce the project with Paramount Pictures and Alphaville.

Casting directors are looking for actors, models and talent to work on the movie while it is filming in Austin, Texas. Producers are looking for baseball players, sorority girls, fraternity guys, hippies, bikers, and a ton of other roles.

CASTING THE FOLLOWING PROJECT in the AUSTIN, TX area:

Extras Casting: On Location Casting

Project: “Untitled Richard Linklater Project” – Feature Film

Shoot dates: We will be filming on a Tuesday – Saturday schedule from 10/13/14 – 11/29/14. Various time requirements depending on role cast in.

Shoot times: Times vary depending on role cast in. Extras should be prepared to work a 12 hour+ day on the day chosen.

Shoot location: Austin, TX and surrounding areas (some locations will be in San Marcos, San Antonio, Taylor, Elgin & Bastrop areas)

Compensation: NON-UNION Extra Rate is $64.00 for 8 hours ($8.00/hour) with an 8 hour guarantee. Overtime will be paid after 8 hours. Lunch and snacks provided.

Talent Specs: *NOTE: ALL TALENT MUST HAVE PROOF OF TEXAS RESIDENCY in order to work this project (TX Drivers License, ID card or Voter Registration)!!!

SEEKING EXTRAS: male and female, all ethnicities, all ages!! **THIS IS A PERIOD PIECE from the LATE 70’s to early 80’s – will require longer hair on all guys and the ability to style to an 80’s look on ladies!!**

Overall Talent Considerations: NO professional acting experience required! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Your OLC talent profile and photos MUST be UP TO DATE within the last 6 month! Children under 18 MUST have updated photos taken within the past 3 months! ALL TALENT MUST HAVE PROOF OF TEXAS RESIDENCY in order to work this project!!!

Photos should not be date stamped with any year other than 2014! Try to take a photo against a solid color background – take one from just mid-chest up and one from mid-calf up if possible.
