Birmingham, Alabama Casting Call – ‘Woodlawn’ Movie casting call for lead roles and extras in Birmingham.
In 1973, when a spiritual awakening captures the heart of nearly every player of the Woodlawn High School Football team and its coach Tandy Gerelds, their dedication to love and unity in a school filled with racism and hate leads to the largest high school football game ever played in the torn city of Birmingham, Alabama and the rise of its first African American superstar, Tony Nathan.
Casting directors are looking for football players to play a lead role and extras in the upcoming feature film, ‘Woodlawn’.
Producers are holding an open casting call for the lead role of Tony Nathan. Casting directors are looking for talented athletes to play an incredible athlete who grew up in Birmingham, Alabama during the middle of a horrific racial tension and strife. Nathan would later become one of the best football players of all time. Producers are looking for actors that are athletic.
In addition, casting directors are looking for football players to work on the upcoming feature film.

LEAD: African American, 18-21 years old
Tony is an incredibly talented athlete, who has grown up in Birmingham, Alabama in the midst of horrific racial tension and strife. An intelligent, observant, thoughtful and grounded young man, he chooses to play on the Woodlawn team despite the fact that he will face tremendous prejudice. A person of few words, he prefers to carefully observe what’s going on around him. Tony is a young man of extraordinary athletic ability coupled with keen intelligence and moral strength… Actor should be athletic, but football experience not required.

Football Players Open Casting Call
Game Changing Films is casting MALE football players for a new feature film called, WOODLAWN. We are looking for Males between the ages of 18-30, local to the Birmingham, AL area. There is a lot of football in this film!
On-field Players will be paid $250/day for football action shoot days.
