The Walking Dead companion series, ‘Walking Dead: Cobalt’ is now filming the pilot in Los Angeles and may move to Georgia film the series.
Rumors are circulating that ‘The Walking Dead” companion series, The Walking Dead: Cobalt will film in Los Angeles, California. According to reports, a neighborhood is being scouted for the project.
“Neighborhood is being scouted for twd spinoff,” wrote Redditor KiddMicks Sunday, Dec. 14.
When another Reddit user asked where exactly is that neighborhood, KiddMicks replied: “Los Angeles,” before adding that the companion series was planning to shoot at the said location for three days.
Last month, a casting call revealed that the series would film somewhere in Pennsylvania. The casting call stated that AMC was looking for actors and actresses aged 13 to 65 possibly with experience working in film or TV. The ads, which were placed on several Craigslist sites, including Philadelphia, Allentown and South Jersey, also stated that AMC would pay extras $50 for eight hours of work, with a chance of overtime pay.

The ads, were later removed after a few days, after questions regarding the authenticity of the casting call began to arise. Many websites reported that the ads were authentic, but days later they claimed the casting call was just a hoax.
“The Walking Dead Enthusiasts” claim the casting call is connected to a talent agency based in Pennsylvania that is allegedly a scam.

Comicbook.com is reporting that the companion series could just film the pilot in California, and then move the series less costly for the full series such as Atlanta, Georgia where the original Walking Dead series films.
Earlier this month, we reported that Cliff Curtis (“Gang Related”) will play the male lead in the TV pilot to be directed by Oscar Winner Adam Davidson from a script written by comic book writer Robert Kirkman and show runner Dave Erickson.
While there are now official details yet about Curtis’ role, it is speculated that Curtis will play Sean Cabrera, a divorced teacher described as a “goodman trying to do right by everyone in his life.”

Frank Dillane (“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”) and Alycia Debnam Carey (“Into The Storm” were also cast as brother and sister in the pilot.
Based on the casting call Frank Dillane and Alycia Carey will play Nick and Ashley Tompkins, respectively, the children of “thirtysomething” single mom named Nancy.
Nick is Nancy’s “screwed up teenage son” who is “too old to stay home” and “too scared to flee.” Deadline described him as somebody who has battled a drug problem.
Ashley, on the other hand, is “Nancy’s mostly level-headed teenage daughter. Her ambition is in direct proportion to her older brother’s failures.” She reportedly loves her mother but it’s already time for her “to get out of Dodge.”
