Last night’s debut was up 16% from the viewership of the Season 1, Part 2 premiere on January 7, 2014, the previous record holder with 2.8 million viewers, which was up 57% from the series’ debut on May 28, 2013.

The Haves and The Have Nots follows three families and their lifestyles as they intersect with one another in Savannah, Georgia: the rich and powerful Cryer and Harrington families (dubbed “The Haves”) and the poor and destitute Young family (dubbed “The Have Nots”).
