Peter Dinklage to star with Melissa McCarthy in ‘Mitchell Darnell’ which is expected to start filming in Atlanta, Georgia in the next few weeks.

According to Variety, Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) has decided to join Melissa McCarthy in the upcoming Unviersal comedy “Michelle Darnell”.
While details are vague on what the role is, sources say Dinklage would be playing the antagonist in the pic. Universal has gone back and forth on whether the role should be a male or female, caring more about a landing a star who can chew up every scene he or she is in. The studio had also considered Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm and even Oprah Winfrey for the role.
“Michelle Darnell” centers around a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges she is ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, and not every is so quick to forgive and forget.
