Benjamin Onyango

Benjamin Alfred Onyango left his native country Kenya in 1987 to pursue further studies in the United States of America. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock, California. After graduating in 1992, he relocated to Hollywood, California to pursue a career in Music and Acting. After a few years with Funk Rock band P.F.O. and part-time acting, he made the decision to be a full-time actor. Since then he has worked on numerous feature films and TV shows. His TV credits include GENERAL HOSPITAL, THE SHIELD, THE X-FILES and THE WIVES (Kenya). His Film credits include the following: FRESHMAN YEAR, GOD’S NOT DEAD 1, 2 & 3, HEAVENLY DEPOSIT, BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN, FATHER AFRICA, THE BOY, ROAD TO REDEMPTION, DEFAULT, KWAME, CHAINS, THUNDER CHANCE, THE DISCIPLE, AMERICAN CRUDE, THE TERMINAL, TEARS OF THE SUN. His knowledge of and fluency in the Swahili language has landed him voice acting and ADR roles in many Hollywood films including: THE LAST FACE, FURIOUS 7, CONSTANTINE, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM I & III, MACHINE GUN PREACHER, INCEPTION, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, PRIMEVAL, LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN, THE PATH TO 911, MIGHTY JOE YOUNG, E-RING. His TV WRITING credits include: TV Series, THE WIVES,TV web series, DYSFUNCTIONALLY ORGANIZED and TV Series, TWO WORLDS (Not released). His MOVIE WRITING credits include: Short Films MIND TRICKS and CURSE OF DEVIL’S MOUNTAIN, Feature length movie CHEZA and feature length Sci-Fi, ORIGINAL MAN. His business Substitute Teachers Placement Services, Inc. employs teachers and teacher assistants for assignment to Special Education Schools. He also a runs a non-profit organization called Upendo Learning Center that helps children on the Autism spectrum. He is represented by agent Mimi Mayer of Angel City Talent.
