Kanye West is working on a new TV for WGN America, ‘Underground’.
Kanye West may be taking time off from making shoes and music to make a TV show for WGN America. According to reports, Kanye West is working on a new TV series Underground.
Deadline reports that the rapper is in talks to work on the music side of the project, which will focus on the Underground Railroad.
The new TV series is set to star Christopher Meloni, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge and Jessica De Gouw. Underground will focus on a set of slaves from Georgia trying to escape their plantation and find freedom. They seek help from a couple who are secretly abolitionists. The show is set to premiere in 2016.
Kanye West looks like he is following in Timbaland’s footsteps. Timbaland recently produced the music behind the hit TV series, Empire.
