‘The Walking Dead’ is the most watched TV show in the country and now AMC is looking to create a spin-off on the hit TV series which means one thing, casting directors are looking for actors to work on the new TV series as recurring, starring, and day player roles.
About ‘Fear the Walking Dead’
The Walking Dead spinoff will be called ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ and according to reports, the show will focus on the zombie apocalypse in Los Angeles, California.
In September 2013, AMC announced they were developing a companion series to The Walking Dead, which follow a different set of characters created by Robert Kirkman. On March 9, 2015, AMC announced it ordered it to series, with a two-season commitment. The first season, consisting of six episodes, will premiere in late summer 2015.
‘Fear the Walking Dead’ features Shaquille Carter, Lynn Chen, and Micah Fitzgerald. Series creator Robert Kirkman teased new details about the series during a panel at the South By Southwest Film Festival this weekend, where he revealed that the show will not follow the comic books at all. “It’s not going to relate to the comics at all. From the beginning of the show one thing we’ve heard is, ‘What’s going on over here or there.’ So the intent of the new show is to expand that world and show another corner of the United States and what’s happening there. The timeline is taking place a little bit earlier timeframe than the original show.”
‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Speaking Roles Casting Call Information
Due to the popularity of Fear The Walking Dead, producers have kept a tight lid on extra casting call opportunity as well as speaking role opportunities. However, according to IMDB, the principal casting director for Fear The Walking Dead is Wendy O’ Brien Casting.
Wendy O’Brien Casting has worked in the industry for several years. The casting company was the casting director for VH1’s new TV series ‘Hindsight’, ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, ‘Sons of Anarchy’, and ‘The Runaways’.
