The latest trend teenagers are now doing on the internet is the Kylie Jenner Challenge, something that could possibly lead to infection and loss of sensation in lips.
Teenage girls are imitating Kyle Jenner’s large lips by putting a bottle lid over their lips and sucking out the air, causing the lips to puff. It typically causes the lips to turn blue, and the results are not always pretty:
The challenge is pretty dangerous. Prodiis Kjartansdottir, a cosmetic surgeon, explains why teenagers should not try this new Kyle Jenner Challenge:
‘The lips turn blue because blood fills up and they could easily become infected and lose all sensation.
‘It is a really dangerous stunt and I’d advise strongly against anybody trying it.’
I strongly suggest avoiding this new Internet trend. Unless you want to look like this:
