Sony is planning ‘The Equalizer 2’ starring Denzel Washington.
Sony has officially announced a sequel to the Denzel Washington action-thriller ‘The Equalizer.’
Denzel Washington is expected to reprise his role as vigilante Robert McCall in ‘Equalizer 2’. ‘The Equalizer’ is based on the 1980s TV series, ‘The Equalizer’ and made over $190 million at the global box office last year.
Antoine Fuqua (‘Training Day’) directed the first ‘Equalizer’. However, it is unknown whether he will return for the sequel. He and Washington are currently working on ‘Magnificent Seven’ which is filming throughout Louisiana. ‘Magnificent Seven’ will reunite the ‘Training Day’ duo with actor Ethan Hawke.
