1. Martin Scorsese

Martin Scorsese, the critically acclaimed director behind ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and ‘Goodfellas’ put his own mother in one of his movies. Catherine Scorsese played Joe Pesci’s mother. In the scene Joe Pesci’s character comes to her house with a body in the truck of hisĀ car.

“She doesn’t care what her son has done,” Scorsese recalled in 2010, saying most of the scene was improvised.Ā “I didn’t tell her a body was in the trunk.”

Kanye West loves his mom. Most recently, his song ‘Only One’ is a tribute to his daughter North from the perspective of his late mother Donda West, who died in 2007.

My mom was singing to me, and through me to my daughter,” he said of the track, which is a collaboration with PaulĀ McCartney.

But, before ever getting signed to a record label, Kanye West recorded “Mama” a loving tribute about his plans and goals to make his mother proud.
