NBC’s TV movie, ‘Coat of Many Colors’ is going to film in Atlanta, Georgia this summer.
According to Deadline, ‘Coat of Many Colors’ is set in 1955 in Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains.
‘Coat of Many Colors’ will center around Dolly Parton’s upbringing and to offer a look inside the “tight-knit Parton family as they struggle to overcome devastating tragedy and discover the healing power of love,” NBC argues that the project is not a “biopic, musical nor about Dolly’s whole life and performing career.” Instead, the Peacock calls it “a family-oriented faith-based story about the incidents in her and her family’s life around the time she was 9 years old.”
It was reported that Alyvia Lind has been cast as a young Dolly Parton in “Coat of Many Colors.” The young actress was told she landed the part by Parton herself.
According to Come Tour Georgia, filming for the Dolly Parton biopic, ‘Coat of Many Colors’ will take place this summer in Atlanta.
