About:
Karen Goodman Maschi | Founder & CEO, Veza™ VEZAFAMILY.COM Karen Goodman Maschi is an award-winning entrepreneur, inventor, and the Founder and CEO of Veza Innovations™, a company redefining the future of early childhood products and challenging an industry that has operated within the same limitations for generations. After nearly two decades as an Executive Producer at MTV Networks and Ogilvy & Mather, where she led multimillion-dollar productions and worked alongside some of the world's most influential brands and creative minds, Karen walked away from an established career to tackle a problem no one in the juvenile products industry had solved. What began as a deeply traumatic experience where her son, Logan, choked multiple times during mealtime, evolved into a bold vision: to fundamentally transform the way children are supported during mealtimes. Rather than improve upon the traditional high chair, Karen set out to reinvent the category itself. With no background in product engineering or manufacturing, she assembled a multidisciplinary team of leading pediatric physicians, clinical specialists, industrial designers, and engineers to bring an entirely new concept to market. The result is the VezaFlex™—a groundbreaking, patented sit-to-stand convertible high chair that challenges more than a century of conventional high chair design by introducing an entirely new dimension of flexibility, choice, and functionality. Karen has built Veza from the ground up, securing U.S. and international patents, establishing collaborations with leading pediatric experts, raising capital, navigating complex manufacturing and regulatory requirements, and earning national recognition before the company's first product has even reached the market. In September of 2026, VezaFlex™ captured two prestigious Baby Safety Alliance Awards of Excellence, including Best in Feeding and the nationally voted Parents' Pick Award, emerging from a competitive field that included industry giants Graco®, Munchkin®, NUK®, Safety 1st®, and Jool Baby®. But Karen's ambitions extend well beyond disrupting the high chair market. She is building a company positioned to bridge pediatric science, consumer innovation, and institutional adoption—rethinking the everyday products families depend on and creating opportunities for meaningful change across an entire industry. Karen represents a powerful kind of founder: a mother who recognized a fundamental flaw in an established market, had the audacity to challenge it, and built the intellectual property, team, clinical relationships, and business infrastructure to turn an idea into a commercially viable innovation. Karen's story embodies the ambition, resilience, and entrepreneurial conviction at the heart of Aspire with Emma Grede. She represents a powerful intersection of motherhood, reinvention, and business leadership—a founder who recognized a fundamental flaw in an established market, had the audacity to challenge it, and built the intellectual property, team, clinical relationships, and business infrastructure to turn an ambitious vision into a commercially viable innovation. Her journey offers a compelling perspective on what it takes to build something from nothing, navigate extraordinary challenges, and bet on yourself when the odds are stacked against you. It's a story of determination, calculated risk, and the refusal to accept that something can't be done simply because it hasn't been done before. Karen didn't organically enter the industry to compete with the companies that defined it. She entered to change what the category could be.
