‘Suicide Squad’ is going to film in Chicago, Illinois this week.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the upcoming Batman v. Superman spinoff, ‘Suicide Squad’ will be filming B-roll footage throughout the city of Chicago. Unfortunately, no actors will be involved and producers will probably not need extras.
From Chicago Tribune:
The upcoming blockbuster based on the DC comic “Suicide Squad” will be in Chicago next week to grab some footage, but don’t get your hopes up about seeing any cast members.
Crews will be filming downtown overnight next Friday (Aug. 7) and continuing through the early morning hours, shooting the skyline and areas by the river only.
That footage will then be layered in with other footage to create the story’s ficticious cityscape.
No actors will be involved.
‘Suicide Squad’ is directed and written by David Ayer, and stars an ensemble cast featuring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis. Filming began on April 13, 2015 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
