The director of ‘Fantastic Four’ is now blaming the studio for the poor movie reviews.
Josh Trank, the director of ‘Fantastic Four’, tweeted that he had a “fantastic” version of the movie a year ago that would have received better reviews but that version will never be seen.
Trank shared the twitter on Thursday but later deleted the comment later on. In the tweet Josh Trank says he was happy with a version made a year ago, implied that the studio made changes and that his version will now never be seen, adding “that’s reality though.”
As we reported earlier this week, production of ‘Fantastic Four’ was filled with problems including Trank’s “erratic” behavior and unusual conduct on set.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a rating of 9%, based on 110 reviews, with an average rating of 3.4/10. The site’s critical consensus reads, “Dull and downbeat, this Fantastic Four proves a woefully misguided attempt to translate a classic comic series without the humor, joy, or colorful thrills that made it great.”
