TV Land cancels ‘The Exes’ after four seasons.
According to reports, “The Exes” was canceled by TV Land. The show’s star, Kristen Johnson said on Monday night on Twitter that the series will end after four seasons.
“It’s official. LAST 6 eps of @The_Exes EVER start airing this Weds. Even great ratings can’t #SaveGoodTV,” the actress tweeted.
The comedy ran for four seasons before its demise.
Johnston went on to assure fans that she was okay, and has several other movies and TV shows in development.
“I’m fine. I’m working on HBO’s #GettingOn this week, as well as my own project I STILL can’t talk abt,” she wrote.
Kristen Johnston played divorce attorney Holly Franklin, who owned a New York City apartment inhabited by three of her divorced male clients (Donald Faison, Wayne Knight and David Alan Basche).
The cancellation follows TV Land’s June finale of “Hot in Cleveland” and the end of “Soul Man” after its fifth season. The series finale of “The Exes” will air Sept. 16.
