Fabrizio Shao

Fabrizio doesn't just root for the Knicks. He's won three national championships wearing the name. A New York City native, he's a three-time NWBA Division I National Champion with the New York Rolling Knicks (2014, 2018, 2019) and a former pro who played for Reggio BiC in Italy (2019–20), helping earn the club's promotion to Division A. His game doesn't stop at basketball. He captains the U.S. National Wheelchair Handball Team and was part of the Team USA squad that won gold in France. He is also the only wheelchair athlete in the world competing head-to-head against able-bodied players in one-wall handball (wallball), a sport he's pushing to bring to the Paralympics. On camera, he's been featured in GQ (2021), an ESPN/USTA tennis commercial (2021), Sacha a Nova York (2024), and the documentary Abilities for All. Off the court, he's a bilingual (English/Romanian) keynote speaker who has spoken at Cardano Summit 2021 and Rare Bloom 2022. He is a former Cardano Ambassador (2021–23), and his work spans AI, blockchain, and disability advocacy. He sees disability as a vantage point, not a limitation, and he's on a mission to make ableism a thing of the past.
