Job Description

An independent romantic drama short film is seeking local Dallas-area actors and film crew members for a small, collaborative production. The approximately 15-minute film will focus on atmospheric visual storytelling, emotional intimacy, and subtle performances, with opportunities available for lead actors, background talent, and several production crew positions.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the director and production team to bring the short film to life.
• Perform assigned acting roles with a focus on natural emotion and subtle expression.
• Support production needs based on the responsibilities of the selected crew position.
• Contribute to a professional, creative, and collaborative environment.
• Crew members may assist with multiple production responsibilities when appropriate.

Requirements

• Local to or able to work in the Dallas, Texas area.
• Male Lead: Playing age from 20s to early 30s.
• Female Lead: Playing age from late 20s to early 30s.
• Background Actors: Comfortable performing in an independent short film.
• Co-Director or 1st AD: Previous on-set experience and ability to assist with blocking, coverage, and set operations.
• Producer: Able to support the organization and execution of an independent production.
• DP/Cinematographer: Experience with cinematography; access to camera equipment is preferred.
• Sound Recordist/Boom Operator: Comfortable handling on-set production sound.
• Production Assistants: Able to assist with general production needs.
• Location Support: Able to help identify and secure art gallery locations in the Dallas area.

Compensation
