Social Media Content Creator – Live Event Coverage

Job Description

A paid contract opportunity is seeking an experienced Social Media Content Creator to provide live event coverage during a high-energy cheer competition season. The selected creator will take over social channels on event days, capturing performances, reactions, celebrations, behind-the-scenes moments, and other engaging content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories, and social feeds.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage on-site social media coverage during live events.
• Capture and create real-time short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Stories.
• Publish real-time event updates and in-feed posts.
• Capture performances, reactions, celebrations, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Post award ceremony results in real time.
• Identify engaging moments that tell the story and energy of each event.
• Capture and organize evergreen content for future social media use.

Requirements

• Proven ability to create engaging short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Stories.
• Strong understanding of current social media trends, formats, sounds, and editing styles.
• Experience creating content in live sports or event environments is required.
• Cheerleading experience is a strong asset.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
• Must be comfortable working extended event days of up to 12 hours.
• Must be available for all four events across five event days.

Compensation

• $500–$1,000 per day, depending on experience and portfolio.
• Paid contract covering four events and five event days.
